MRIDUL BURGI

Mridul’s journey in the world of Bharatanatyam began 3 decades ago and is an impeccable testament to her unwavering dedication, passion, and artistic excellence.

She is an inspiration to all who are touched by the beauty of Bharatanatyam.
Trained under the guidance of two eminent gurus, Guru Smt. Lalitha Srinivasan (Nupura) in the Mysore style of Bharatanatyam and Prof. U.S. Krishna Rao (Maha Maya) in the Pandanallur style, Mridul nurtured the essence of these two distinct traditions enriching her dance with depth and versatility. In 1998, after rigorous training and profound devotion to her art, Mridul took the pivotal step of her Bharatanatyam Rangapravesha (Dance Debut) in Bangalore. This milestone event marked the formal initiation of her journey as a performing artist, and her debut was a testament to her commitment to the art form.

Mridul’s natural talent as an artist, her perfected stamina and versatile abhinaya allowed her to transcend boundaries, and she was blessed with
opportunities to grace various dance festivals and events not only across India but also in the United Kingdom, the United States, and Canada. Her performances captivated audiences far and wide, leaving an indelible mark in the hearts of all who witnessed her love for dance.

Mridul’s journey from a passionate and dedicated dancer to a revered teacher and cultural ambassador is a testament to the transformative power of art. Despite working full time as an independent IT Consultant & being a mother of teenage twin boys, her commitment to preserving and sharing the beauty of Bharatanatyam enriches the lives of her students, the community, and connoisseurs alike. She has built an institution that shows unwavering dedication to Bharatanatyam and its enviable reputation as a top-class dance academy.
